Board of Directors

| The TMWA Board of Directors meets at the Sparks City Council Chambers, located at 745 Fourth St. in Sparks. The meetings are normally held on the third Wednesday of the month beginning at 10:00 a.m. The exceptions are for 2008 are January, May (third Thursday due to the budget hearing that must take place on that day), July and August.
The 2008 meeting dates are as follows: January 16 (8 a.m.), February 20, March 19, April 16, May 15, June 18, July 16 (8 a.m.), August 20 (8 a.m.), September 17, October 15 (All-day Strategic Planning Session), November 19 and December 17. Technical Advisory Committee
|
| The Authority has formed a Technical Advisory Committee made up of staff of the three member agencies (Reno, Sparks and Washoe County) to provide recommendations on all matters related to the Authority’s operation, including budgets. The Technical Advisory Committee also developed recommendations for (1) a water resource and facilities plan; (2) a water allocation plan among members; (3) a cost –sharing plan; and (4) an equity allocation plan. The Technical Advisory Committee is comprised of the following staff members: (a) the City/County Managers or their designees; (b) the Finance Director of each member; (c) the Reno Public Works Director; (d) the Sparks City Engineer; and (e) the Water Resource Director of Washoe County.
The meetings are scheduled in such a way as to allow two weeks between the TAC meeting and the Board of Directors meeting. TAC meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month beginning at 9:00a.m. The exception for 2008 is the January meeting which has been cancelled.

Standing Advisory Committee
|
| The Standing Advisory Committee (SAC) is an oversight committee made up of individuals representing all customer classes. The members completed an application process and were selected by a subcommittee of the TMWA Board of Directors subcommittee. The SAC reviews all rate proposals, budgets and other items as requested by TMWA’s Board of Directors.
The Standing Advisory Committee meets at TMWA Corporate Offices, 1355 Capital Blvd., Reno. The meetings are normally held on the first Tuesday of the month beginning at 3:00 p.m. The exception for 2008 is the January meeting which will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
The 2008 meeting dates are as follows: January 8, February 5, March 4, April 1, May 6, June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, October 7, November 4 and December 2.

Interim Western Regional Water Commission
|
| The Interim Western Regional Water Commmission was formed by an Interlocal Agreement amoung the Cities of Reno and Sparks, Washoe County, , Truckee Meadows Water Authority, Sun Valley General Improvement District and South Truckee Meadows General Improvement District to cooperatively coordinate planning to ensure the smooth, efficient, and effective implementation of SB 487, Sections 3 through 53, which creates the Western Regional Water Commission (“WRWC”), effective April 1, 2008. The meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of the month in the Community Meeting Room at the Washoe County Department of Water Resources, 4930 Energy Way, Reno.
