Voluntary Meter Retrofit

Voluntary water meter installations are on a first-come, first-served basis and are at no cost to you.  The funds for the meters and installation come from fees paid by developers in our community at the time of new construction.

Once the meter is installed you will be on metered billing and cannot return to flat-rate billing. Many customers will save with a water meter on a yearly basis; but some won't! That is why it is very important for you to analyze your water usage to determine if a water meter will benefit you. Please click here for more information on water rates for metered water service.  It's a very good idea to check for leaky faucets, toilets, sprinkler pipes or other water-wasting leaks. You would be amazed how much water is lost through even the smallest leak! Please call us if you need assistance, and we will be glad to help you.

In certain older homes, the water pipe from the curb to the house may have deteriorated with age to the point of needing replacement or need separation from a shared water service. Although relatively rare, if this condition is identified while our crew is installing your water meter, you may need to replace your yard pipe or separate a shared water service at your expense before we can complete your installation.
